River Corner Church
River Corner Church is a growing church community of everyday people who gather to worship God, follow Jesus, and serve through life together. We gather on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM to worship and experience God, study the scriptures, journey through life together, and to partner with the Holy Spirit. It is our hope that you will gather with our simple community of Jesus followers.
Come as you are—just be yourself.

On July 26, at River Corner Church, Pastor Jeff McLain looked at James 2:1-13 and James' warning on favoritism. This passage can still speak to us today.
Why do we instinctively size people up?
In James 2:1–13, James confronts one of the most subtle sins in the church: favoritism. The gospel calls us to a different way of living—one where people are not valued by wealth, appearance, influence, or status, but by the image of God and the mercy of Christ.
In this message, we'll explore four kingdom ethics that shape the life of every follower of Jesus:
• We See People Impartially
• We Love People Sacrificially
• We Examine Our Hearts Honestly
• We Measure Worth Differently
The church isn't meant to mirror the world's pecking order. It is meant to give the world a taste of God's kingdom—a community where mercy triumphs over judgment and everyone finds a place at the table.
Scripture: James 2:1–13
