The Meal Jesus Transforms Us With (1 Corinthians 11:17-34)

Jeff McLain

On August 28, we practiced the Lord's Table, as Jeff McLain discussed the Lord's Table, and the way that this meal that Jesus gave us, also transforms us as individuals and as a church.

By looking at the practice of the Lord's Table throughout the scriptures, we find that at the Lord's table we remind ourselves we belong, we remember what has been promised, we rediscover what we believe, and we realign our minds to remember whose and what I am. However, it is also as the Lord's Table, that we remember that we have been rescued to be rescuers, that we have been shown mercy, to show mercy, and that we have been shown forgiveness so that we can show forgiveness to others. Through the Lord's Table, we remember that we have been set free from our sin and brokenness, so that we can be freed up to liberate others.
